Heath Eric: music

Cool Waters Flow

(Heath Eric)
March 1, 2009
Heath Eric, Rick Miller

My good buddy Rick Miller wrote the words to this song. They inspired a simple melody and groovin' music from me. Together with some fabulous musicians, I think we created something special. Roll down the windows, turn it up loud and enjoy... "Where the COOL Waters Flow..."

Fishing and days off
Same as a bird in the hand
You get what you take
You get by the best you can
Then there’s that road
To the bright city lights
It’ll bring ya back home
And suit ya just fine
It’ll suit ya just fine

‘Cause a willow tree clings to the bank
And it grows like a weed
Knows where to put down his roots
Soak up sun and be free
Unlike that old oak tree
That kinda grows real slow…
A willow stands where the cool waters flow
Yeah he makes his home where the cool waters flow
Yeah he’s gonna live his life where the cool waters flow

You either grow some hard bark
Or learn to sway with the wind
Where one man stands
Is gonna say if he breaks or bends
Every year that goes by
Says life… is just a day
Those of us close to the river
We’re gonna join it someday
We’ll join it someday
